An immersive digital art festival.

An Edo legacy, trembling in the light.

In Nezu, where tradition meets innovation,

the past and the future intertwine.

01About

Two days wrapped in light and sound,
in the Bunkyo grove

Nezu Shrine, where the scenery of Edo still lingers, will be wrapped in light and sound. Mystical projections fall across the Romon gate — the threshold to the sacred grounds — and the Tsutsuji-ga-oka azalea garden, a celebrated landmark since the Edo era, in a quiet resonance between tradition and the digital. Day and night, the grounds will be filled with art, digital, and musical experiences for every sense. Shrines have long been places not only for prayer, but for the rest and play of the community — and so they remain, today and always. Two extraordinary days to enjoy our heritage together, and carry it into the future.

Shrine halls, the path of the approach, the sacred tree. Keeping what stands before us "as it is now" turns out to be surprisingly hard. Earthquakes, fire, a shifting climate — time changes everything quietly, but surely.

In the 3D Archive Preservation Experience, visitors themselves scan the shrine grounds with their smartphone cameras, taking part in a real digital archive project. To record is to send a gift to the future.
